We are a kindergarten in Bayreuth.

Places in kindergarten
There are 19 places for children.
3 to 5 places are for children with special educational needs.
Special educational needs means:
Your child needs more help.
For example, when learning.
Or when speaking.
Or when moving.
Or in everyday life.
integrative
Our nursery is inclusive.
Integrativ is a difficult word.
Integrative bedeutet:
Children with disabilities and children without disabilities are together.
The children are in a group.
The children experience daily life together.
All children belong.
All children are important.
Montessori
We work according to the Maria Montessori idea.
Maria Montessori was a woman.
Maria Montessori was a doctor.
And she was a teacher.
Montessori is the surname of Maria Montessori.
Maria Montessori said:
Help me.
To do it yourself.
This means:
Your child should try many things for themselves.
Your child should have their own experiences.
Your child should become independent step by step.
We'll help your child with that.
We show your child ways.
But we don't take everything away from your child.
Material
In nursery, we use lots of things for learning.
These things are called material.
Materials are learning things.
For example, building blocks.
For example, letters.
For example, numbers.
Your child can see the material.
Your child can touch the material.
Your child can try out the material.
Term: Montessori materials
Montessori materials are special learning materials.
Maria Montessori invented this learning material.
Montessori materials are simple.
Montessori material is clear.
With Montessori materials, your child will learn:
Distinguish shapes.
Distinguish sizes.
Learning the alphabet.
Learning new words.
Understanding numbers.
Your child often notices it themselves.

Daily routine
In the kindergarten, there is a fixed daily routine.
A regular daily routine gives your child a sense of security.
The day begins.
The children are coming to the nursery.
The children are welcomed.
Then there is free play.
Free play means:
Your child chooses a game themselves.
Your child will choose a material themselves.
Later, there will be offers in small groups.
For example:
Practising with Montessori materials.
Crafting.
Paint.
Active games.
It is circle time.
All the children are sitting in a circle.
We talk to each other.
We are singing.
We’re going to listen to a story.
We’re having a meal together.
We have a drink together.
At the end of the day, the children are seen off.
Then the children go home.
Food and exercise
Healthy food is important for your child.
It is important for your child to drink enough.
We make sure the children have good food at nursery.
We ensure that your child drinks enough.
Exercise is also important.
Your child should get plenty of exercise.
The children are playing in the garden.
The children are playing active games.
This will help your child get to know their body better.
Your child will be safer in everyday life.
Working with parents
You are the parents.
You know your child very well.
We are looking after your child in the kindergarten.
We watch your child play.
We are watching your child learn.
That is why we are speaking with you.
We are listening to you.
There are short conversations in the morning.

There are scheduled parent-teacher meetings.
