With this plea, a child turned to the Italian doctor and educational reformer Maria Montessori. For us, this means supporting and guiding each child individually in their quest for independence.

Our Concept

We are a small, family-run establishment with up to 19 kindergarten places,
where three to five places are filled by children with special educational needs.

We offer your child a harmonious and safe atmosphere within the community.
We focus on individual personality development in small groups, following the principles of Maria Montessori.

We see ourselves as a family-complementary and supportive institution that, together with parents, individually and holistically supports and promotes the development of their child.

Setup

The Evangelical Reformed Church Community of Bayreuth is the legal entity for the state-recognised integrative kindergarten. We work closely and trustfully with the pastor, Mr Simon Froben, and we also have a good partnership with the church community itself.
We design various services throughout the year for and with the children, and celebrate festivals such as Harvest Festival together with the church community.

1970

Foundation

Foundation of the kindergarten by a parents' initiative

1971

Inclusive Start

The development of inclusion through the admission of a child with special needs.

1973

State recognition

The institution will be state-recognised and the Evangelical Reformed Parish of Bayreuth will assume sponsorship.

1991

Integrated nursery

The kindergarten is receiving state accreditation as an „Inclusive Kindergarten“. According to the law, 3-5 children with special educational needs must now be admitted.

1995

Accessible renovation

Basic accessible refurbishment and extension of the premises.

2015

Rename

Renaming the facility to „Integrative Montessori Kindergarten“ to highlight the two main focal points of our work.
